Deer collared on Sept 28

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife Bay-Delta Region is working to deploy 10 GPS survival collars on female deer throughout the East Bay and Santa Cruz Mountains. A doe was collared at Quail Hollow County Park on September 28, 2026. You may see her in the area while you are out on the trails. The collar is a GPS/VHF radio collar which tracks her movements and sends locations via satellite every few hours. The collar has been fitted carefully and will not impact her mobility or ability to forage.
